Bill LaMorris
My primary goal in photography is to create unique
images that provoke an emotional response in the
viewer. I started my artistic journey as a painter in the
impressionist style, and I bring that same viewpoint to
photography. I use B&W film and traditional wet
darkroom techniques. I am especially drawn to the use
of alternative methods of printing, such as; Lith
Printing, Toning, Split Toning, and layering negatives.
The very processes that I use make it imposable to
reproduce an image in exactly the same way twice.
Each photograph is " one of a kind ". I handle every
step of the process from choosing the camera, lens,
filter, developing the film, printing the photograph, and
the final framing and matting. In so doing I hope to
produce a work of art that is unique in style and brings
joy to the viewer.
