“My work is very conceptual and distinctive in style. I
like to capture the natural form of man made elements
such as old rusted cars, broken down buildings,
wastelands, while transforming their diminishing
characteristics into something brand new and aesthetic.
While working from my own photos, I compile several
different elements in the backgrounds and foregrounds,
I define a composition that is entirely my own. While
capturing the essence of this imagery with vibrant color
and exaggerated forms, my cars are transformed from a
vessel into an energy of it's own. Painting fish and
deceased people is another one of my favorite subjects.
I enjoy fish because they are always suspended in a
dreamlike state, and I paint the deceased because it is
particularly more emotional than painting someone alive
and the spiritual nature of the soul within the eyes is a
challenge.”

The personification between life and death seems to be
prevalent in my work. Nostalgia and history are very
thematic and present. While I always search for a
hidden meaning or truth within my paintings I have yet,
still no understanding of the documentation of life and
death through space and time. There is always an
underlining question at hand. My job is to communicate
similarities between life and emotional experiences. I
compose a manifestation of expressionism while
stimulating the psyche.
