Sharon Orman
As a child, I was always interested in art and drew a
great deal. Later in life, I was able to paint my
emotions, which helped me heal from a bad situation. I
felt so wonderful during and after painting. I started
with acrylic and then went to watercolor. I painted
people using color to depict the emotions I wanted to
convey.
I have taken several painting and drawing classes both
at PCC and at USC (now CSU-Pueblo). I learned how to
put a painting together. This excited me and
challenged me to do better and to do my own shows.
I have many subjects in my various works. I am not
confined to working in one medium but follow my heart
in the best way to express myself.
I was previously known as Sharon Dalton and have
done many works under that name.
As I entered many national shows, my work was
accepted in Taos, New Mexico, Dallas, Texas, San
Francisco, California, and in Nebraska, and Arizona.
Much of my work has been accepted in statewide
shows, I was accepted in the Colorado Watercolor
Society shows in Denver and also in shows by the
Pikes Peak Watercolor Society in Colorado Springs.
I have displayed and sold at the Colorado Springs
Airport, and have previously shown at the Business of
Art in Manitou springs.
My many shows at coffee shops in and around the
Pueblo area are too numerous to mention.
I am a signature member of the Southern Colorado
Watercolor Society where I currently serve on the
board. I am active in other art organizations such as
the Pueblo Art Guild and Alpha Mu Delta.
I am not confined to one style. I love color and
attempt to have good balance in each painting.
